Simone Baldi, Professor, Doctoral Supervisor, selected for National Class A Talent Program. Served as Assistant Professor at the Center for Systems and Control, Delft University of Technology (Netherlands, QS and THE world university rankings top 50) from 2014-2019. Received Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (2005), Master's degree in Automation Systems Control Engineering (2007), and Ph.D. in Systems and Informatics (2011) from University of Florence, Italy. Postdoctoral researcher at CERTH (Greece) and University of Cyprus, under the supervision of Prof. Edoardo Mosca (IEEE Life Fellow, IFAC Fellow), Prof. Petros Ioannou (IEEE Life Fellow, IFAC Fellow, former Editor-in-Chief of IEEE-ITS), and Prof. Markos Papageorgiou (IEEE Fellow, IFAC Fellow, former Editor-in-Chief of Transp. Reas. C).

Main research interests include adaptive and learning systems and their applications in intelligent transportation, smart energy, smart grids, autonomous driving, UAV formation, and other fields. Published over 200 papers, with more than 140 SCI-indexed papers, including over 60 full papers in top journals in the field of automatic control such as IEEE TAC, Automatica, as well as top journals in transportation, smart energy, aerospace, and other application fields. Has supervised over 60 students, many of whom have obtained associate professor and faculty positions at renowned universities at home and abroad.
