IEEE Life Fellow, Prof. Harry L. Trentelman (University of Groningen) Gives Talk at SOMLab

We are honored to have invited IEEE Life Fellow, Prof. Harry L. Trentelman from the University of Groningen to give an excellent academic talk titled “A behavioral approach to data-driven control with noisy input-output data” at our research group.

Biography

Harry L. Trentelman (IEEE Life Fellow) is Professor of Systems and Control at the Bernoulli Institute for Mathematics, Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence at the University of Groningen, the Netherlands. From 1991 to 2008, he was associate professor and then part-time professor at the same institute. From 1985 to 1991, he was assistant professor and then associate professor at the Department of Mathematics, Eindhoven University of Technology. He obtained his PhD in Mathematics from the University of Groningen in 1985 under the supervision of Jan C. Willems.

Abstract

Data-driven analysis and control has been a research topic that has received much attention in recent years. The core idea of this research field is to use data obtained from an unknown dynamical system to verify certain system properties and to design feedback control laws for this system.
