IEEE TAC Associate Editor, Prof. Kanat Camlibel (University of Groningen) Gives Talk at SOMLab
We are honored to have invited Prof. Kanat Camlibel, Associate Editor of IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, from the University of Groningen to give an excellent academic talk titled “Data informativity: a new perspective on data-driven analysis and control” at our research group.
Biography
M. Kanat Camlibel received his PhD in Mathematical Systems and Control Theory from Tilburg University in 2001. From 2001 to 2005, he held postdoctoral positions at the University of Groningen and Tilburg University. From 2005 to 2007, he was an assistant professor at Eindhoven University of Technology. In 2007, he joined the University of Groningen, where he is currently a full professor at the Bernoulli Institute for Mathematics, Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence. His research interests include differential variational inequalities, complementarity problems, optimization, piecewise affine dynamical systems, switched linear systems, constrained linear systems, multi-agent systems, model reduction, geometric theory of linear systems, and data-driven control.
Abstract
In this talk, we study data-driven analysis and control problems from a “data informativity” perspective. We collect data from an unknown dynamical system assumed to belong to a given model class. Based on this data, we want to assess properties of this unknown system and design controllers for it.
